What is it about the ocean that pulls at us? What do we really know about our deeper human connection with the sea? Poets, Philosophers, Scientists and Artists have pondered these mysteries for as long as the tide has shifted. BlueGreen attempts to answer these questions by sitting down with several oceanophiles who have been lucky enough, passionate enough and dedicated enough to intimately explore our relationship with the sea. Narrated by Santa Cruz’s own ocean enthusiast, Robert “Wingut” Weaver, BlueGreen delivers a powerful warning about the threat we face by abusing and exploiting this powerful presence on our planet, and offers advice on what is required to resolve these problems. Through the interviews with and the stories of these people and with stunning aquatic cinematography, BlueGreen leads us on a journey of discovery and wonder.
