Oliver Whynacht (Jay Baruchel, Knocked Up, Undeclared) has unexpectedly inherited his estranged father’s funeral parlour and quickly discovers that the business is in danger of bankruptcy. Not one to handle stress very well (his nose bleeds whenever he’s upset), Oliver considers selling it. But, he finds solace in the enchanting mortician, Roberta (Rose Byrne, 28 Weeks Later, Sunshine), who persuades him to keep the home open. Driving her home one night, he hits and kills a hiker with his truck. Scrambling to conceal their crime, Roberta disguises the fatality as an accident, thus giving Oliver his first customer. As they struggle to keep their secret, business booms amid an ever-increasing series of bizarre and brutal “accidents.” A dark comedy about death and the funeral business, Just Buried delivers plenty of blood and laughs in equal measure, along with a prodigious body count that would keep any funeral home in business for weeks.
