What is that thing stalking around in the woods killing horses and the occasional traveler? John and his friends are about to find out in this shocking thrill ride by San Francisco filmmaker James Isaac. Packed with guns, a crossbow and his sexy girlfriend Brooks, John hauls his pals to his deceased Uncle’s cabin in the central Mendocino County woods to hunt wild pigs. Their trip takes an immediate turn for the worse with the arrival of the Tibbs Brothers, a couple of good ol’ boys from John’s past who take the gang on a trek into the muddy fields of Big Wallow in search of “The Ripper” – a legendary 3000 pound black boar.
Pursuing this mythical creature deeper into the forest, the group finds itself in all sorts of trouble involving high-powered weaponry, fields of marijuana, massacred emus, and a machete-toting Hippie Stranger with his Hippie Cult Coven who grow pot by day and worship a giant killer pig by night. Don’t forget the vengeful rednecks led maniacally by Primus’ Les Claypool (who also composed the film’s score).
By the time the pig hunt is done, no one is innocent - or unscathed. Not for the faint of heart, Pig Hunt is a darkly comic horrorfest in the tradition of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jaws, The Blair Witch Project and Friday the 13th.
